AEP (Automatic Electric Pistol) replicas are compact, single-shot and/or full-auto models. They are a secondary piece of equipment that can be extremely useful in close-quarter combat (CQB).
AEP replicas are battery-powered and have a longer range than GBB or HPA handguns, but do not feature a blowback system to simulate recoil. As their power is relatively low, they have a shorter range and are best used at very close range.
This type of replica is suitable for everyone, from beginners to experienced shooters!
Like the AEG system, AEP mechanisms are electrically powered. That's why it requires a LiPo or NiMh battery to operate, unlike gas-powered replicas, which require recharging with gas cylinders or 12g CO2 sparclettes.
